For Nani, overseas and Nizam have always been his strongest territories without question. His films consistently deliver their biggest numbers here, and even outings with mixed word of mouth have managed to hold up well in these two markets. The Paradise opened with a record start in both, crossing ₹20 Cr Plus gross in each on Day 1.
Nizam Holds Strong Despite The Reviews
Even with unfavorable word of mouth and reviews, Nizam has sustained remarkably well. The territory has now crossed ₹50 Cr gross, putting the film on track to achieve breakeven and even turn a profit here. Even yesterday, the film continued to hold at a healthy pace in this market.
Overseas Tells A Very Different Story
The overseas numbers, however, paint a completely different picture. After a strong opening day gross of $2.3M, the territory has seen a sharp crash rather than a steady hold. Five days in, the total overseas gross stands at just around $3 Million, which means the film has added less than $1 Million combined across Day 2 through to now, a steep and unusual fall for a Nani film in this specific market.
While overseas and Nizam have consistently been reliable markets for Nani, this outing shows how differently they can behave. Nizam has rocked despite the criticism, largely because the film’s genre and setting connect naturally with that audience, while overseas audiences have clearly reacted very differently to the same content, delivering a genuine shock rather than the usual steady support.
